Data we collect and why

• Account data (first and last name, email, password or Google sign-in, username, birth date, profile photo, bio) — to create and run your account. Legal basis: contract.
• Content (messages, voice messages, photos, videos, files, shared locations, posts, comments, likes, saved items, prompts, presentations and uploaded images) — to provide the Service. Legal basis: contract.
• Usage and device data (IP address, device and browser type, logs, error reports) — for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — to answer your requests. Legal basis: contract / legitimate interests.
• Purchase status (plan, subscription status, purchased usernames) — to provide paid features. Legal basis: contract.

Who we share data with

• Service providers and subprocessors for hosting, database, storage, email delivery and AI processing.
• Our Merchant of Record, Paddle, for the sale of our products, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting).
• Authorities, where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active. When you delete a chat or your account, the data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Write to support@saakinmessenger.online; we respond within one month.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and per-user data access rules.

Cookies and local storage

We use only essential storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as language and theme. We do not use advertising cookies.
